Angela Yinka Akintunde was born in Surulere at ADA Hospital and raised in Ajao Estate, Lagos. From an early age, she was shaped by strong community values, responsibility, and service, grounded in the everyday realities of life in Lagos.
Growing up in Ajao Estate gave Angela a deep understanding of the challenges faced by families, young people, traders, and small businesses. These experiences shaped her passion for fairness, opportunity, and community progress
Angela attended FGGC Sagamu and the International School, Ibadan, where she developed a strong foundation in discipline and leadership. She later pursued further studies in the United Kingdom and the United States, earning global consultancy status as a healthcare professional.
Angela is a seasoned public-service professional and community advocate, recognised for her commitment to accountability, ethical leadership, and people-centred service. Her work spans community outreach, grassroots mobilisation, empowerment initiatives, and public engagement.
Her professional expertise includes operations management, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, planning, and stakeholder engagement. Through close collaboration with individuals, families, and institutions, she has developed a deep understanding of how policies and governance impact women, youth, and underserved communities.
While in the diaspora, Angela remained closely connected to her roots. As an active member of Eko Club Houston, she supported initiatives focused on social development, cultural unity, and diaspora engagement, reinforcing her lifelong commitment to grassroots service.
With global experience and strong local insight, Angela is committed to serving in the House of Representatives for Oshodi–Isolo Constituency II. Her priorities include social wellbeing, women’s inclusion, youth empowerment, infrastructure renewal, and transparent governance. She believes leadership must be visible, accessible, and accountable, and that public office is a platform for service, not privilege.
